Trincomalee Sri Lanka

Located around 6-7 hour drive up north from Colombo, Trincomalee is one of the biggest fortresses on one side and sensational beaches populated by the largest mammal in the world.
The city’s strong roots in some of the country’s major religion, its colonial influence and the bluish glow of its golden beaches where marine life flourishes, including blue whales, make it the main reason to visit the wonders of Trincomalee.

There is also a World War II cemetery on the Trincomalee-Nilaveli road, and swimming in the Kanniyai hot springs is also a fun experience.
