Trincomalee Sri Lanka

Located around 6-7 hour drive up north from Colombo, Trincomalee is one of the biggest fortresses on one side and sensational beaches populated by the largest mammal in the world.
The city’s strong roots in some of the country’s major religion, its colonial influence and the bluish glow of its golden beaches where marine life flourishes, including blue whales, make it the main reason to visit the wonders of Trincomalee.
Aside from the beautiful sandy beaches, you can explore the city of Trincomalee: admire the harbor, one of the most spectacular natural harbors in the world, or explore the Dutch fort of the 17th century. Visit to the top of Swami Rock and visit the sacred Koneswaram Kovil while enjoying panoramic ocean views. There is also a World War II cemetery on the Trincomalee-Nilaveli road, and swimming in the Kanniyai hot springs is also a fun experience.
Although Trincomalee is a small, the city tells a great story to everyone and even gives a glimpse.
